Targafest Great Gourmet Barbecue
Wursthaus at Olivers and Casalinga Butchers again faced off during Targa Tasmania's "Targafest" at the Great Gourmet Barbecue last Friday evening to again attempt to find out who makes the best tasting sausages.
275 Targa cars arrived in the Launceston CBD from Devonport and thousands of spectators turned out to inspect the cars and sample a quality sausage for the bargain price of $2.00, with all proceeds going to the Examiner newspaper winter relief appeal.
The result was too close to call, but everyone agreed that both Wursthaus and Casalinga have Launceston's best sausages and that the event was great fun for all who participated .
With the beautiful city of Launceston set to become Targa Tasmania headquarters for the next few years, we are sure that the event will be hotly contested one again.
